Quickest Update I can do before her next feeding....
Hey everyone!
Evangeline Nicole was born April 15 at 7:23pm, weighed 7lbs, 2oz and is 21 1/2" long! She's our "faux" tax day baby since tax day this year is today LOL. But we joke that she'll never forget to do her taxes.
First of all thank you for all your thoughts and prayers... They worked! We are doing so well... Evie is doing great and is so healthy! She's been really tired so hasn't been feeding as frequent as she needs to so she has fallen below the 10% weightloss threshold by 2 oz. But we're on a strict feeding schedule since early this morning (3 am!!!) and she's been doing really (really!) well. I am going to supplement her with a little formula just until I can pump enough so that we can have Dan feed her and get her gaining weight or at least sustain her current weight until we leave.
As far as me.... The doctors and nurses are very pleased with my recovery. I was able to get up and moving by lunch time the next day after my c-section and was removed from all IVs by the evening. I thought the recovery would be a lot worse... and was surprised myself that I wanted to move around by the next morning. As far as my eye and pituitary... we're keep a close eye on it and I have start scheduling my follow-ups so we can figure out a plan of action. Otherwise, I feel great.
I'm going to work on Evie's birth story and post it when I can... despite everything we went through, I'm really happy and "at peace" with it.
Annnnnddd..... we'll end with her pro-pics she had taken yesterday.

LOVE the pictures, Nat -- the ones with her and Dan are so precious. She is such a beautiful baby girl!
Did you have any done in the hospital too or were these at a studio? I've heard about Bella Baby, but I don't think they have any photographers in NE. One of my friends in Missouri had hospital pics taken by them though and they were really cute.
