Anyone else have a case of the Mondays today?
I realized I forgot my keys in DH's car, and he left for work this morning before I realized they were still in there. I called my boss and he was able to pick me up and bring me in, but then I realized 1/2 way there I forgot to grab the extra house key.
So, if DH has to stay late at work, not only will I have to walk home - it's not too far, 3 miles, but i'll be hanging out on the front stoop until he gets home.
Awesome.
Re: Anyone else have a case of the Mondays today?
I'm not having a case of the Mondays, but I still get resentful, 12 years after I last lived in Massachusetts, that I have to work on this particular Monday. It's Patriot's Day! The Sox are playing, the Marathon is being run, everyone in Massachusetts has the day off, and I'm at work.
That sucks! Fingers crossed your DH doesn't have to work late!
My morning started out a little crappy- I spilled salsa verde all down the front of my dress (and the floor and oven) while I was making my lunch this morning. I hated having to think of something different to wear after already picking something out! But, it's been ok since then.
M woke up at 4:30 am and didn't want to go back to sleep. Then the dog woke up and decided she didn't want to walk all the way down the steps to go outside, so she peed in the hallway. Ugh.
Astonishingly enough, I am not having a case of the Mondays.... and boy does that make me happy b/c I slept like crap last night and thought for sure that today would suck.
Just to prove how NONbad my Monday is, my 3pm conference call got cancelled... yay! So seriously, let me know if you need a ride home... I'm free!
Last night we had dinner with a lot of really fun family members and I am ever-so-slightly hung over. And thus have been STARVING all day. Like, I'm contemplating getting a second lunch, that's how irrationally hungry I am.
I'm also kind of bitter that I don't get a spring break. Okay, it's been 9 years since my last spring break, but a bunch of my coworkers took the week off since they're kids are out and I want to do that too. Except daycare is still open and I would consider sending him even if I took off.
This is the terrible thing about being married to a teacher. His job is hard and I couldn't do it in a million years, and wouldn't want to, but I still get so jealous during the school breaks. I'll head off to work muttering cranky thoughts to myself while he and dog get to sleep in.
