For the love - Puppy related
So DH took Yoshi into the vet today for the kennel cough, and he actually has pneumonia, so he has to be hospitalized for treatment, and he may not survive.
I'm stressed about this. I blame the MCAs, bad, bad things happen MCA week.
Re: For the love - Puppy related
Aw, so sorry to hear that.
If it makes you feel any better, when my parents adopted their older dog, they were sent home with meds because the dog had kennel cough, supposedly. When it didn't get any better after a week, they took the dog in to the vet and found out she actually had pneumonia as well as a really bad ear infection. She had to stay at the vet clinic for 2 days, but she made it through just fine. The pneumonia was easier to treat than the ear infection, the ear problems persisted for several months. In any case, I know all cases and all dogs are different, but the pneumonia treatment can be successful.
Did you adopt the pup from the same organization you fostered for previously? If so, that's the same place my parents adopted their dog who had pneumonia.

Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
It's nice that they're offering to pay for treatment.
You'll have to let us know how he's doing. Poor little guy.

Oh no! I hope Yoshi gets well soon- I'll be thinking of him.
P.S. MCA week is a horrible, horrible week.
