Feedback on Rockland Daycares?
Hi Girls,
I am about two months pregnant and starting to look into which daycare I'll use. Is anyone familiar with any Rockland daycares? I live in New City. How much does yours cost, and how early should I apply? I'm hoping to stay home for a year on maternity leave, but I will definitely need one when my baby is 1-year old.

A bunch of co-workers used Children of America in Nyack and Tutor Time in New City or Goddaard School in Suffern. I heard they are expensive but not completely sure. If I end up getting my job back (thank god dh was reinstated and is receiving tenure) we are going to ask for my parents help since they are home during the week. Once 12 months hit LO will go to Preschool Playhouse in Blauvelt 3 days a week. I don't think they do any younger than 12 months

I'm considering Tutor Time in New City, since it's the closest to me, but I haven't heard a lot about it. My supervisor used one in Pomona and said good things about it.
Sorry to hear that it sounds like you got laid off. I work for the state, and it's cutting back, too. All we can do is hope for the best.
they weren't thrilled about tutor time but got some sort of discount thats why they go there.

I have 3 friends who run daycares from their homes. One in New City close to the PIP exit 10, one in west Nyack and one in Pearl River. Im not sure about the pricing for all of them, but I the West Nyack one is $280 per week. She does fantastic things with the kids, she's very into Montessori learning.
