dying eggs.
how long before easter should we do our eggs? I mean its going to just be for the kids to do it and search for them -- and i'm sure i'll make some egg salad or whatever but no family is coming over that day.
However...someone had a good point that they do it early bc their kids hands need time to let the dye wear off!

when i was a kid we used to go to our grandma's every good friday and have pasta and dye eggs... I don't remember having dye on our hands. We always used this:

I think Good Friday is a good day to do them. I also don't remember dye being on our hands because we used PAAS or the food coloring my mom had. We used spoons to touch the eggs.

Get some gloves for them to wear if you are worried about their hands or they have a cool egg spinner that you put drops on the eggs and push the button they end up like tie dye eggs. I do know you have to buy your eggs then let them sit a few days before you cook them. (fresh eggs are the reason sometimes are hard to peel)
