Booooo to Monday, but how was your weekend?
Mine was decent. ![]()
Friday sucked - actually stayed home from work with a KILLER headache, but it faded by evening, so DH & I had take-out and lounged around for the evening.
Saturday I had a PPI fundraiser meeting from 9-11am, then went out and did a bunch of care packages for Graham's Foundation, ran a few errands with my BFF, then got cleaned up and had an evening out with BIL/SIL! We went to the Funny Bone, and then to the new Cigar Place / Wine & Martini Bar @ Levis Commons. We had a GREAT time! ![]()
Sunday I just tried to get a bunch of stuff done - fundraiser stuff, Graham's stuff, dishes, laundry, etc. etc.
Re: How was your weekend?
Friday night and Saturday: DH was out cutting down trees (where our driveway and house will be), cutting a driveway out, planting trees, etc all weekend so me and the girls just hung out.
Sunday: Braelyn had her dance recital. Always cute seeing the little ones dance on stage.
Pretty simple weekend.
worked fri.... boooo!!!!
sat - dropped off donations for planned pethood's rummage sale and did some errands. then we did some volunteering with planned pethood by transporting dogs after their adoption event. afterwards, we went out with friends for my b-day
sun - did some packing, dropped off donations, went to parent's for my b-day dinner and then home.
Mine was pretty calm, which is what I needed.
I actually took off a 1/2 day on Thursday (Mud Hen's opener) and had Friday off as well. I pretty much got stuff for Vegas in May and cleaned, worked out, and relaxed. It was nice.
Friday was great. C and I went to Red Lobster for lunch, and I ate more of their biscuits than I think I ever have before. Then we went to see "Source Code," which was a great movie. Friday night wasn't as good bc I had a bad headache, but we just rested all night.
Saturday I did a little shopping with C's mom. I spent my rewards (and not one dime more) at Babies R Us, which on a side note, their rewards program is probably the worst one I have been a part of. I got a comfy outfit at Target to wear in the hospital, and then we went to Kroger so I could get the stuff to make mexican lasagna. That would normally seem insignificant, but we were going down the final aisle, and it became quite the trip... His mom needed eggs, so I went down a little further to get cheese. I was headed back to her cart, and I went to step around another lady when I slipped in something and fell. Of course, the poor lady about had heart failure. Luckily, I only landed on my knee. As I was going forward, I had enough sense to lean back so I wouldn't topple over. When I stood up, I discovered that a bottle of beer had spilled (they had a bunch of individual bottles in a basket sitting there), and beer was everywhere. I thought C's mom was going to have a heart attack right there. I kept swearing I was fine, I just wanted someone to get an employee to clean it up. The manager came over to make sure I was fine too. I was more embarrassed than anything else. So that make Saturday quite the interesting day. I swear, I spent the rest of the night trying to convince everyone that I was indeed fine.
Sunday we went to church and then to Star Diner for lunch with my mom. C got his hair cut, and then we spent the rest of the day cleaning and organizing some more. I also finally began packing a bag for the hospital. lol
Our baby girl!!
Friday: laundry and packing the kids stuff
Saturday: drove H&H 7 hours roundtrip to ex's parents for spring break. They're bringing them home Thursday. I don't know what to do with myself.
Sunday: slept late with a bad bad headache, went to R's nephew's birthday party at Oak Openings (windy and cold, but we had a fire going in a shelter house), helped the kids find two geocaches, collapsed at home and filed our taxes... boo for owing $$
It is Monday, but every night is date night for me this week! I miss them so much though... I hope they call tonight!
jam packed as always.
Cleaned the house, made B2's birthday cake, got my car back, ran some errands, had B2's birthday. Rinse and Repeat!
Glad your fine!
Friday was okay - DH got the crib home and set up (not the set I originally wanted, but a little cheaper version) as well as got the dressing and changing table ordered.
Saturday - well, you saw the post earlier about our TPD friend (he's home now, in a bit of pain and may require surgery as well has having 10 staples the back of his head). I also did some running around Saturday - new drivers license (worse picture to date), stocked up on my munchies, out to dinner with one of my BFF's that night. We ended up going to Real Seafood after originally planning to go to Nagoya - first clue that wasn't going to work was all the little orange girls in teeny tiny dresses running from the Hilton over to Nagoya - must have been prom for someone. Real Seafood was good - I wanted lobster, but told last week that is yet another unsafe fish, so was going to settle for crab legs - but didn't feel like spending over $40 for them so settled for stuff halibut.
Sunday went to BG to visit my G-ma and once again she had my cousin. I think I've alraedy posted how much I cannot stand this kid. Even better...he had a friend with him.
Friday I subbed in the afternoon (was in a classroom with a student teacher which is a first for me in this area...that was super common in Toledo, being around Owns, BGSU, UT, Findlay, etc and all those teaching programs so that was a different day for me) and then had group lesson at the dance studio at night. I was supposed to have a couple for a private lesson but they rescheduled.
Saturday Matt had to work 9-2, then we had Easter at my Booma's house. We were there until 7, and we came back to my mom's house to relax for the night as we both had headaches. We were bummed to miss a friend's birthday but it was at a bar downtown so not so much our scene anyway. We did have the house to ourselves this weekend as my mom and Steve were gone for their anniversary.
Sunday we talked a bit with a couple of friends planning our joint trip for the summer. Back a year ago, it was going to be Europe but we called that off. We're going to Mackinac instead, our friend Mike only went there with his family when he was little, and his wife CJ has never been there. So we're excited about that.
