I figured it couldn't hurt to ask over here too since some of you ladies suggested going to this area for my mother/daugther trip.
Isle of Palms/Wild Dunes- can anyone recommend some restaurants or things to do besides the beach?
Charleston - please recommend hotels and places to eat. For hotels, I am currently looking into the Mills House, Francis Marion or the French Quarter Inn so if you have any reviews on those, that would be great!

We stayed at the Harbourview Inn in Charleston and really enjoyed it. It seemed like a great location. We stayed in the historic section of the hotel and the soundproofing wasnt the best... like you could hear the hairdryer next door, but it was neat and they had awesome Temporpedic (spelling?) beds
We had great dinners at Cypress and Slightly North of Broad.
It was a neat city, just thinking about it makes me want to go back
I've stayed at Francis Marion and loved it.
