Well, almost. We put in an offer last night, and the seller accepted it this morning! It makes me think we should have offered even less, but it's still a great deal. The inspection is tomorrow!
Just for good measure, here are a few pictures! (We will be replacing the carpet and the appliances.)
^living room
^kitchen (brick wall on the left, orange counter)
^basement (LOVE the stone wall and fireplace)
^HUGE backyard (H better be excited to mow)
^HUGE deck. Major selling point

I promise I'm done being an AW now! All updates will be on my blog.
Re: I'm an AW today. House update! with PIP!
This made me chuckle. As we first went through the house, we kept joking saying "ohh, that's an interesting carpet color!" or "hmmm that's an interesting wall color." haha
I think it's all 'little' cosmetic stuff though, and the 'bones' of the house seem pretty good! We'll find out today at the inspection!

Congrats again, Steph!
And having just gone through a redecoration, I have to say, there is nothing more fun than turning a living space into "yours". Maybe you can make that retro kitchen you and I both love so much? With the pale aqua walls and the red cabinets? Maybe?

I tried telling H that. I mean, one of the walls is already red (it's all bricks!)

Congrats! That's so exciting! That really is a huge deck and lawn - you can have some awesome parties in the summer and in the winter too with that big basement.
Keep us posted on how the inspection goes

Very cute house, I love the backyard. Congrats! Cosmetic changes are usually easy and fun to do.
I'm lazy, so I'm going to C&P from the MSP post. haha Sorry for any wonky formatting.
BUT you are all welcome whenever you'd like

Inspection went pretty well. Nothing too shocking... but we did find out the deck needs a little work. Nothing awful, just obviously homemadeOther than that, just the windows need replacing (we assumed that), so we'll go back to the seller hoping for some $$ to replace those.
I'll post more pictures later from today on my blog!

OMG Steph! I am sooooo jealous. That house would be a million here. I'm not exaggerating, I'm pretty sure it would cost well over 1 mil. I saw a small 2 BR apartment yesterday, $2100/month, dark, and the building looked like it could come down in a storm... and there were at least 50 other people there to see it. Now I wanna move to Minnesota lol!
You have to post pics as you redecorate so some of us can live vicariously!
LOL... I realized after writing it that it may come off negative... but I totally agree with others that the house really does have character and the tweaks will make it perfect.
(But yeah, H and I would have probably done the same thing... "Oh that's an interesting detail!"
).
