My cousin from Philly called last night to tell me that she is coming to my shower at the end of May - she and her husband and baby (who was born in December) are coming along with my other cousin, her husband, and my aunt will be coming from Wisconsin. After my shower they want to take a relaxing, over the top few days at a nearby luxury, over the top resort since they never took a honeymoon (it was the second marriage for both).
We checked the Ritz in Half Moon Bay and it's entirely
booked that week! So I was thinking Carmel Valley/Carmel by the Sea or
Napa Valley.
I'm working on a list of really nice resorts, but wondered if anyone had any others to suggest or if you stayed at any of the below and would or would not recomend them.
Carmel valley: Bernardus Lodge
Napa Area: Carneros Inn; Calistoga Ranch; Bardesonno in Yountville.
Thanks!
Re: XP: Luxury Resorts - Napa or Carmel?
That is where I got married! It is an interesting set-up out there. Each room is like your own townhome, kind of. Really nice.
I would recommend Pebble Beach
Villagio - Yountville (not sure how "resort-y" it is, but it's amazing)
Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma.
