any pics of an organized Kid's closet?
We are expecting and one thing I really want to do is install a good system in the closet that can grow with a child to also keep toys and such organized. I'll need some inspiration other than Container Store & Ikea of closets that actually have more than 10 items in them
Thanks.
Re: any pics of an organized Kid's closet?
Is it a small room with an enormous closet? I can't see why you'd want to put the toys in the closet otherwise.
Trust me, you want the kid to be able to get toys on his own (encourage independent play, not be tempted to climb shelves when you don't fetch that interesting toy down from the closet immediately).
And you do not want him to think that clothes are good to play with (you know how the hanger starts swinging when you yank a shirt off the hanger? Yeah, they think that's a lot of fun for several years.)
So I wouldn't try to store stuff they want to play with in the closet. Extra blankets, sure. Maybe shoes. A bin or two of clothes that are too big or too small.
I'd take a picture of my kids' closets, but they are just rods with clothes and a some rubbermaid bins with the too big clothes in them.
These are amazing and fun! We have them in DD's room for all of her Little Pet Shop, Barbie, Tinkerbells etc. When she was an infant they held diapers etc.
We have all of the animals and their coordinating plain bins. DH is building a shelving system for baby's closet and will have cubbies for the bins. We'll put plain bodysuits, socks, pants, diapers, blankets, etc. in them. And I'll put diapers and wipes in one and keep it on the combo. They're pretty cute.
