Ticked-Off Tuesday
I finally made the decision to spend lay out about $400 for a really nice point-and-shoot camera (DH has the fancier cameras, but I wanted something that would fit in my pocket). I've been debating for several months on whether to spend the money to get a nicer one or just go the cheaper route, since we do have several nice cameras already and money isn't tight, but I'm not exactly rolling in it either. Well, I shelled out the money on Sunday and then yesterday my car started making funny noises. Like high-pitched whining that makes me thing my front right tire is going to explode off the car and go rolling down the highway. I haven't taken it in yet, but I'm pretty sure it's going to cost more than $1000 to fix it, because let's face it, when does a car repair ever cost less than a grand?
<sigh>
Anyone else have a gripe?

I always take my cars to ProTech in Lakeville, even though it's a 40-45 minute drive and they're incredibly reasonable, I can't remember the last time I had a repair OVER 300, even on our older cars before we replaced it. HTH.
As for gripes, where do I even begin?

Not really a gripe, but more of a general whine:
I wrote an email to a close family friend last night - my mom's best friend and a woman who is like a second mother to me. The email was dual purposed: 1) to inform her of my nephews condition - which she likely knew of since my sister had the info on her blog and 2) general catch-up with life stuff.
I got a response today and while normally her responses are warm and loving and very sweet, this one seemed a little critical to me. Maybe I am reading into it, but I can't help but think that my sister has been talking to her about me (they are closer and just saw each other a few weeks ago) and it kinda pisses me off! So now instead of having the warm fuzzies from the email like I normally do, I'm sitting here being pissy and pouty.
Haha! I went and bought three sets of new Hanes yesterday for this reason. And then I got super fancy and bought new socks too.
My gripe: I haven't slept in 30 hours and now I feel myself becoming a bit delusional. **waits for sleeping drugs to kick in**
DH wants to take over the spare bedroom with his racing crap. That means that he will have filled the office, basement family room, basement work room and garage with his crap. Meanwhile all of my sewing stuff is all over the house because I don't have a place to put it. Grrr
I want one room dedicated to my stuff and I don't get one. And I need storage.
I'm thinking about going to Target this afternoon and buying shelving to put up in the spare bedroom for my photography/craft/sewing stuff.
I am ticked off because on my way to the dog park today, my tire blew out on the freeway. I was able to get off the road and call for help, but then I had 2 dogs to deal with. I had a friend come to get me and the dogs while we waited for the tow truck, but in the mean time, Popeye got anxious about the whole situation, and started pulling to get in my friend's car. He pulled me down to the ground, jamming my finger and skinning my hands. GRRRRRRR! Needless to say, the day is not off to a great start.

I'm ticked off at this pimple on my chin. I haven't had a blemish in quite awhile now but when I do get one it huuuuuuuurts. I can barely move the lower half of my face without wanting to cry. :-(
And I'm ticked I wasted 2 hours watching Sex and the City 2 last night. What a stupid stupid movie.
I have had a headache for three days and I am effing sick of it!!!
It is difficult to work all day and stare at a computer when all I want to do is take a nap.
I just had an OB appointment this morning. Yeah, I don't think I'm going to be able use the "I just had twins" as an excuse for my weight forever.
As I type this, I'm eating a Dove mini chocolate egg. The two can't possibly be linked. I refuse to admit it.
*sigh* I've got some work to do.
