My husband has a nail in his tire, and he had to be on the other side of town right at 8:30 (which meant he had to leave by 7). He didn't think it was too serious, but I didn't want him to end up with a blown out tire on the side of the freeway in rush hour, so I told him to take my car.
This means I'm left with his truck, which I am fully capable of driving, but not so sure how capable I am of parking it. I'm starving, so I'm about to head out to get a sandwich for lunch (as I keep reminding you all - we still can't use our kitchen).
Wish me luck that a) the tire doesn't go completely flat while I'm out (unlikely), and b) I don't look like one of "those people" who drive a vehicle far too big for them and have to do a ten point turn to get out of a parking spot.
Ugh!
Re: Wish me luck!
Lol, good luck!! I have a mental image of preggers you in a big pick up that's cracking me up!
I hope the tire holds and it's an easy, inexpensive fix!

Ha! Thanks! I made it back. I went to a drive through so I didn't have to worry about parking. How terrible and unhealthy is that?
And I typically wouldn't mind the walking at all, but at seven months pregnant with super swollen feet, I like to park as close as possible. I know I should be walking, but it's just not comfortable at this point!
But, yes, my husband always parks super far away - more for the lesser chance of door dings, but I think it's a bit the parking, too. Although he backs into spots.

If you want that image to get even funnier, know that I'm barely 5'1" so I look ridiculously small in his truck anyway!
The pressure didn't change while I was gone at all, so I think it's fine. I just didn't want him driving on the freeway in it (and he didn't either!). He still needs to get it patched, or whatever, this afternoon, though.

Thanks!
My feet and ankles are hideous. Seriously. Even my toes are swollen on most days. They get so tight that they are uncomfortable.
I haven't really found anything that has worked well. I still need to try to find compression socks somewhere. A friend of mine who is a sports medicine doctor told me where I might be able to find some, but of course I haven't gone yet.
The worst part is that my right foot is way worse than my left...they say it's because he's sitting on my right, which is true. My next dr. appt. is Thurs, so I'm hoping she might have some good advice...but I doubt it...I think it's one of those things that comes with the territory, unfortunately!

hahah how cute! I picture a tiny little woman in a big asss truck, sorta fighting to see over the hood lol Glad you made it back safely!
And I can't believe you are 7 months.. it's flying by! ..well, for me anyway lol
What you're picturing is correct - haha! I have challenges seeing over the hood in my car, so in the truck - forget it!
I know! I must admit that I hate saying seven months, since it sounds like I was pregnant at the wedding (I was not). It's the way they count weeks, plus the fact that she moved my date up by a week, that makes it seven months. It's just a silly thing that probably only I would think of. It is crazy to think, though, that in two months, he'll be here!

I know!! It's going to be crazy to see the post with his first real photo of his arrival and all that amazing stuff. Then from there, we hope you have time for us and we get to see the little man grow!
Oh I'm sure I will. I'll be home all day with him for the first three months, then will be back to work just like I am now. Surely I'll be able to find time to check in at least as often as I do now!
