House cleaner tipping question
I decided to bite the bullet and hire house cleaners. They are coming on Friday morning for the first time since that is my AWS day and I want to be there the first time they come. Am I supposed to tip? If so, how much? Initially I was thinking I should tip around $20 per person. I'm thinking they will be there for 2 hours (at least the first time) and I'm planning to have them come every two weeks.
I ask because I asked some other friends and they said they only tip at the holidays. They are in Ohio though and I wasn't sure if that is the norm here too.

I generally only tip at the holidays, too (bascially, double the fee) BUT I do tip if they haven't come in a while bc I ws on vacation ... so the house is dirtier than the normal two-week grime. Then, I add $20-$30 to the regular fee.
I would not suggest tipping on the first visit -- mostly bc it would set up an expectation that you're going to tip every time.
