Wahhhhh!!! Newly planted peas ruined.

So, first time gardener here. (And last time gardener?)  We just put in a vegetable garden bed next to the garage.  First thing we planted were some peas along the wall just two days ago that we started from seed.  Haven't put in the wires for them to grow up yet.  Today it is raining like crazy, and we just realized that no one has EVER cleaned out the gutters on the garage roof.  So the poor little plants are getting completed flooded by overflowing gutters and will probably be all washed out by the time I get home from work today.  So upset!!!!

Re: Wahhhhh!!! Newly planted peas ruined.

  • Ours were just starting to come up.  I'm hoping the puddles in the garden won't harm them.  I'm a first timer too and it's like I'm a new mom again!   I'm constantly checking on them to see how they're doing.
  • No Fun! My first set of peas didnt sprout, so i direct seeded last weekend, those are sprouting now. Don't give up!
