Weekly Book Post, Anyone?
So I know we do a post each day with a theme to it...but I've also noticed that there are a lot of readers on the board, myself included. Would any of you be up to doing a weekly book post about what you're reading or have just finished? I thought it might be a nice way to share some new titles you may not have thought to read before...plus we can let eachother know if the book is worth the time to read or not. I'll gladly start the topic every Tuesday, for those who want to join in 
This past week I read The Princess Diaries. I had just watched the movie for the zillionth time and decided to download the book to my Kindle. Definitely a good read, but wayyyy different than the movie!

I'm a big fan of mystery/suspense books. I'm reading the second book in a series by Julia Spenser-Fleming. The first one was awesome - a new priest in town discovers an baby on the church steps. This one has the same main characters (the priest and the chief of police) but focuses on hate crimes taking place in the town. It's good so far, but not as good as the first one.
The book I read before these was The Pact by Jodi Picoult. AMAZING. I'm a fan of hers, but this was by far one of my favorites of hers.
I'm In! I love reading, but haven't got as much time as I used to.
Last week I took some time away from schoolwork to read The Hunger Games trilogy. I was a bit wary at first because I knew they were technically young adult books, but they are REALLY good! They are an easy read, and very suspenseful, with a cute little romance thrown in (but not all cheesy-like). Now I can't wait for the movie!
Unfortunately, I probably won't have a book for next Tuesday unless I speed write the papers I'm behind on! But, this new weekly post excites me! Thanks, Val!

I just finished a book last week called "Remember Me" By Sophie Kinsella. I really liked it, it was cute!
I love Sophie Kinsella! check out "Can you keep a secret"... it is my favorite book ever (favorite chick lit book ever at least!) I made my brother read the back of the book at Borders one day, and he was cracking up.
Sophie Kinsella is my FAVORITE author! If you haven't read it yet, try Twenites Girl. It was my favorite of all her books. Fun fact: if you didn't already know, Sophie also writes under her real name, Madeline Wickham. I've read her book Cockatils for Three, which was a bit different than the style she writes in under the Kinsella name, but a good book none-the-less
I listened to Twenties Girl on CD, and it was hysterical. I've also read all the madeline Whickam ones. I like Cecelia Ahern (PS I Love You & some quirkier ones) & Marian Keyes, too.
Other good books on CD/MP3/etc are the very light/easy reads of Janet Evanovich. The Stephanie Plum series is great via audio- whoever does the voice for at least the later books in the series does a good job. I put like 25k on my car the first year and a half I owned it (living in Columbus, DH was in Chicago, family in Cleveland)... and listened to lots of books on tape once my sirius radio free 6 months was up.
I love this too! I post on Nest Book Club all the time.
I am reading 2 books for the NBC Spring Book Challenge. Both are young adult. I am really enjoying them right now. One is 13 Little Blue Envelopes. The other is The Sky is Everywhere. I am reading them on my new Nook. I just figured out how to get library books on it!

Currently, I'm about 3 chapters in to the book Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford.
How do you like the nook?? I don't have one, but just bought one for my niece as her 18th b-day/hs graduation present (she loves it already, after less than a week).

I like it a lot. I have been busy, so I haven't used it a ton. I got the regular Nook, not the Nook color. After researching Nooks and Kindles, I went with the Nook because you can get library books on it. It is very user friendly in my opinion and I love not carrying around books!
After slacking on reading for awhile, I am now trying to play catch up. My wishlist on Amazon has gotten out of control. There are 3 bestseller on there that are all being released as movies this year, that I have been meaning to read. I am finally making my way through them.
I just finished reading Something Borrowed followed by the sequel Something Blue by Emily Griffin. They were both a fun and easy read, and I enjoyed them.
I just started reading The Help by Katheryn Stockett. So far I love it, and am having a hard time putting it down.
Next up is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.
I'm in too!! I just finished "Water for Elephants" and "Heaven is for Real". Loved them both...but "Heaven is for Real" has topped all of the books I've read to date! It was so inspirational and eye-opening...if you haven't read it, I definitely think it is a must read!!
