restaurants for travelers
DH and are are going to San Francisco for a long-weekend getaway. Can anyone give me any good restaurant recs? We like to eat at local places, not tourist traps. Any cuisine, any budget. We are staying in the Union Square area, but will be all over the city, so any location is fine. Please give name of restaurant, type of food, and general area if you can. Thanks in advance! We are very excited!!

All of my recs in that post are in S.F. proper. If you want things south of the city as well (peninsula, South Bay), that's a whole 'nother list but let us know and I'm sure we can provide lots of ideas.

I love Greens at Fort Mason..it is an upscale vegetarian restaurant:
