Where are my personal shoppers?
I'm typically the one who loves to shop but I've hit a bit of a wall lately. I've been looking for a dress for my friend's bachelorette party. It's in NYC and we're going to a somewhat fancy dinner and then out for drinks and dancing. I want something fun, comfy, and inexpensive. I'll probably only wear this 1-2 times tops so I don't really want to spend more than $40-$50. I prefer black, but with a splash of color somewhere if possible. I already have black strappy sandals.
Please help!
Re: Where are my personal shoppers?
How are you built? What do you typically hide and what do you flaunt?
And most importantly - how skanky do you want to be?

I know, neither are black, but it's hard for $40-50!
Actually, there are a couple cute ones here-

First - LOVE the questions.
There are a lot of cute ones at NY&Co.
I particularly like this:
(comes in lots of colors, plus some prints, for $32.86)
and this: (not your typical drinks and dancing dress, but I think it's weirdly hot without being revealing (so you can dance without worrying about flashing the club 41.96)
At Kohl's this is pretty cool, but they only have it in large and xtra large in the black. No clue what size you are...if you are a lucky large it's only 29.99.

And to just keep running the gamut of possible styles/cuts:
I can't wear dresses like this because my ass makes me look like a cow without a defined waist, but your milage may vary. Also..you coudl always add a belt.
It's from dress barn (shutup!)
Or this one. I know you said you like to hide the tummy, but depending on what you meant by that, a shaped sheath might work for you. emphasizes the narrow part of your waist, and since it's a little more structured so you don't get the preggo-effect that can happen with the drapey stuff.
also dress barn. A little hit or miss, but I like a lot of their stuff for cheap "throw away" dresses like what you are looking for.
And yeah...neither of those are black with a pop of color so much as giant pops of color with hints of black, but I love print dresses so I can't help it.
