We have a queen sized bed right now. Last night we went bed shopping and we laid down in a king for the 1st time. OMG there was so much room! I really want one now. But our bedroom isn't huge and I am not sure that we should give up the extra room.
what would you do?
tia!!

Are one of you very tall?
My DH is 6'5" and his feet hang off a queen. We probably should have a California King but we have a regular king. He would hate me if I downsized even if it does take up a lot of the room.
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
DH and I have a queen and would LOVE to buy a King. We were very close, and then he switched to working the overnight shifts, so now we are actually only in bed together 2-3 nights per week. So, now it's not worth it to spend the money on a King.
We have the room and have a king but I think even if it were a tight fit I'd probably have still gotten it because I love to sleep and I need my room cause I don't want B on top of me while I'm trying to get it! So it'd be more important to me to have the size bed I want and be happy then the look of it. We came from a place where a queen was tight soooo maybe that's where I got it in my head that it wouldn't matter to me because certainly we weren't going to sleep on a twin so it was what it was and it didn't bother me.
I get my sheets in Homegoods - calvin klein $40 a set which I don't think is too bad for king and they are super soft.
This was also our problem! B is the same height, he wanted a CA king but I forget why we decided against it.. maybe because the sheets were hard to find? I don't remember
DH and I have a FULL size bed right now...ugh! So a queen sounds like bliss.
I guess I would take measurements and see if is worth the sacrifice on space. Because I am a visual person (and a dork), I would probably cut out strips of newspaper that make up the size difference and lay them along side your current bed to really see how much room it would take.

You aren't alone, we are in a full too! I don't want to get anything bigger until we buy a house rather than rent. While we easily could have fit 2 California king beds in our last house, we can barely squeeze a full in the bedroom here. I hope to settle for just a queen one day in the future.
This! We got a king because I move a round a lot and usually end up sleeping at a angle and then DH would have no room! We stayed overnight one day at my parents house and I felt the queen we slept in was too small...
