Skype Rave with the Abster
Love it! We used it all the time when we lived in Burlington, but this was way different. We took Erin's advice and Skyped right after breakfast. Abby was well rested, fed, and always in a cooky, shy mood. She was always smiley and did a lot of pointing. We even gave her "high fives". All in all, the length of time away was fine. I was a little nervous and in reality I adjusted quickly to "no kid" life and was severely shocked to learn I had to change diapers again :-) Abby adjusted well, too. She apparently had a great time gallivanting with MiMi and didn't notice we were gone. Well, you know...she did say Muma and Duda a lot....she was so sweet this morning when she realized we were there!
So, yes, Skype was great! Also, I wasted $40 on calling cards that I couldn't use in Aruba and ended up using Skype to call my Mom's cell phone. for $.02 a minute I barely broke $3 in fees. I would call her to let her know we were around to Skype and others used it to call family and friends. Two thumbs up, Skype!

Yay! I'm glad it worked out for you guys. We Skype a few times of week with my mom. Usually in the morning too. Caroline loves it and will wave and blow kisses to my mom. My mom will ask her to get things or point to her nose etc. and Caroline giggles and does it.
I would think a week away would be too long away from Caroline, but then being in Aruba I think I'd adjust just fine too :P Glad you two had a great time!
Good to know! MH and I may have to go to a destination wedding in November; we'll have to try that!
