Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

In a 5 min span I suck as a daughter & aunt!
Today sucks. I think Wednesday is confused and thinks it's Monday. Overslept. stubbed my toe, spilled coffee. Then I get in the car and call my mom.
We talk for awhile, I talk to my niece on speaker phone for a few seconds, mom asks about DH's brithday etc. Then she says," So Kaitlyn (my niece) had champagne with us last night" (actually she had sparkling grape juice...she's 2 1/2) & I say, "Oh...what were you celebrating??" Mom: "Our anniversary." ......fabulous!
Mom & Step dad got married on DH's brithday 9 yrs ago and you'd think that would HELP me remember but I'm usually so focused on DH's brithday that I almost forget every year. They're down watching my niece for a few days and not only did my sister remember, she brought them home champagne! So I say "$#%& %$#@# %#$$^! I'm so sorry I forgot, I suck!" Then I hear laughter and a tiny little voice say,"Oooooh...Aunt Christie!" and my mom says, "Ummmm...yeah. You're still on speaker phone." Awesome. lol
I feel so bad. I know it was an accident and they're not mad or hurt or anything, but they just spent several hundred dollars buying us the rest of our china & making a huge deal for our anniversary & I didn't even remember to call them. Plus, ya know...if my niece starts shouting expletives that will be my fault too.

Aw, don't feel bad! I'm sure they understand, it sounds like it's NBD.
That's funny about your niece, I'm sure she won't repeat anything since she knows it's bad!

After that I said," Well...ok then. I'm going to go since I totally suck & can't talk with my foot in my mouth." More tiny laughter. "For the love of god, take me off of speaker phone, mom!!!" I can just hear Kaitlyn," Mommy, Aunt christie said bad words. $#@$%" Love that cute sweet little parrot. She's going to rat me out! lol
