Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you take a break from working out..

How long is it before you feel like you are losing your endurance, etc?

I had a nice routine going before my DD's birthday party, and then I totally dropped my routine because I was staying up all crazy hours of the night preparing for the party, and then I was sick.  By the time I got back into working out, I was struggling..  months of work gone..

  • I can get out of a routine pretty quickly- I can only go a week maybe two at most before I feel like I'm starting at square one

    it is discouraging.. I feel so old :P

  • I find it only takes me 2 weeks to start losing it, but it seems to come back more quickly than it did the first time around.

  • I don't know if it is just mental, but after a week of no exercise, I always feel a little slower and a little weaker.

    Me too!

    If i have to take a break for whatever reason, i will at least try and take a quick walk in the evening. It at least helps with my metabolism. 

  • I was doing really well.  Exercising at least 3 times a week for an hour each time and eating right but I started taking a night class and then my uncle got sick and went into the hospital so I haven't been eating the best because I've been on the run a lot.  Hopefully this week my life will get back to normal and I'll be able to exercise.
