restaurant help

Hey ladies!

My aunt and uncle are coming to visit me this weekend and I need a good suggestion for a restaurant for dinner anywhere between Fairfax and DC (my cousin in DC will be meeting us).  I am still pretty new to the area so I don't really know myself.

Any cuisine and all suggestions, nothing too expensive though!

TIA

Re: restaurant help

  • I enjoy the Great American restaurants (especially for the donut bread!!)...in the Fairfax area, they have Artie's and Coastal Flats.

  • between fairfax and DC is a huge area, where location wise do you want to meet?
  • I second the Great American restaurants suggestion  - I've always enjoyed every one of their restaurants. Great food and excellent service, classy but casual. When we lived in Fairfax we often went to Artie's - that's what I would recommend. They don't take reservations but they do have call-ahead seating.

  • Clyde's is also good - on the nicer end, without being too expensive.  They have several locations in the area.  http://www.clydes.com/main/index.cfm

  • Maybe something in Arlington like Boulevard Woodgrill or Rustico?

We really like Lost Dog Cafe in Arlington on Washington Blvd so that could be another option. It is small and it very popular, but they do have good turnover. The sandwiches are so good!
