In search of Orange party plates and ideas for a Dora party

So P 2nd birthday theme is Dora so i bought so far bright pink tables clothes and purple napkins from christmas tree shop.  I wanted to get orange plates too.  Has anyone seen them cheap?  I dont really want to have to buy those small packages of 8 plates or so for $2 or more a piece.  I havent gotten to Bjs yet but i dont think they would have them anyway.

I have tons of plates that are white left over from other parties to so i could always use those but i wanted something in Dora's colors since I am not going crazy on decor.  Most of the Dora stuff is way to much Dora for me and full of print.

Any ideas for a toned down Dora party?

  • Maybe iparty or one of the party stores will have them for cheap? I've seen 24pks online at amazon and the like for just a couple bucks.

  • we are doing a toned down dora too!!!  :)  i think walmart sells orange plates.

this reminds me i need to get on the invites!

  • Dollar Tree in Attleboro or Xmas Tree
  • I ordered plates and flatware at www.partycity.com for G's party - they had so many colors and were very inexpensive.

    Check there> :)

If you do order, do a google search for coupon codes - I think I got like 15% off and free shipping on my stuff.

  • i saw them at iparty a few weeks ago, but i don't think they were too cheap. what if you buy a pack or two and mix them in with the white plates? i think that's what i would do :)

if you're looking for activities for 2 year olds-how about a ball toss? maybe they have to toss a few balls into a big bucket in order to pass the troll?

are you looking for more decor ideas or activities? i love thinking about stuff like this, so let me know.
