I have a friend who will be adopting... eventually. They just received all of their infertility dx and there's a 3% chance of even medical intervention ever giving them a biological child. Needless to say, they are wrecked right now and adoption is in the future, but not something they can pursue (emotionally) today.
Would you mind if I gave her your email address? I am sure she would like to pick your brain (one day) about your successful adoption of DS and fostering of the new baby.
yes yes yes! Please do!!!!!! I know exactly what she is going through, so if she even needs someone to chat with, I am here. I know how hard it is to even talk to family and friends about it, because as much as they support you, they truly can't know the extent of the grief unless they have been through it. I had to let myself grief before I could even think about adopting again.
