The Help

I'm reading this now and, oh man, it's so good!  Next up is Water For Elephants and I just finished Such A Pretty Fat.

  • I read both those both at Christmas this year and couldn't put either down.  Enjoy!!  They are both great!
  • I really enjoyed The Help. I am anxious to see how the movie compares to the book. I think it might come out this summer?

I just started reading Water for Elephants this week and I am liking it so far.

  • I read both books and really enjoyed them.  I sometimes hate when I read the books first before the movies come out because I always disagree with the casting choices.  This is especially true for WFE and also for Something Borrowed that comes out in a few weeks.
  • Oooh!  They're doing The Help as a movie soon too!  I saw that WFE and SB were coming out.  I'm still waiting for SB to come in at the library.  I'm probably the only 30yr old woman who hasn't read the series.

  • Loved The Help and Water for Elephants! WFE was one of those that i was sure wouldn't live up to the hype, but it really did. I can't wait for the movie, regardless of casting.

Oh, and WHO IS THAT MAN in Something Borrowed? So hot!

Yes! Yes! Yes!  Totally wrong casting.  I don't think I can watch the movie now.

Nope. Not the only one. I've not read any of them!

  • I attempted to read the help but it didn't keep my interest in the first few pages so I gave up.   I'm thinking I am the only one who feels this way?  Oh well!  I'm ADD most days.
  • Loved all three!  I really didn't want The Help to end when I was reading it...I loved the story so much - I had to slow myself down to savor it!

  • I saw the preview for The Help last night (I think when I was watching Parenthood), but the closing said that it wouldn't be out until August (??). Why would they promote a movie so far in advance and then release it in August (which is usually when the baaaad movies come out)?

Same here. I'm one of those crazy people that tends to shy away from books/movies that everyone raves about . . . I usually end up not liking them
