DH and I are going cave kayaking! And it's a total surprise

He has no idea what I have planned, but knows that he can not do anything August 7th or 8th! Haha! Can't wait!!!

Not overly...DH works in agriculture, and they are going to be SUPER busy during July. He'll be lucky to get the whole day of our anniversary off. (I'm banking on the fact that it's a Sunday helping.) Since we can't go anywhere that weekend, we are celebrating early. He is a Cardinals fan, and I'm a Cubs fan. We've gone to a Cubs/Cards game every year since we started dating. (They even played each other on our wedding day.) We are going in June to a game, and getting a hotel, going to a fancy dinner, and doing some sight seeing. I'm a little bummed we can't go anywhere the actual weekend, but at least we can go somewhere!! We also talked about maybe trying to do a long weekend trip in August before I start teaching. (Like a Thurs-Monday in Vegas or NOLA or something like that.)

My friends gave us a very generous gift card to a place called Omni Bedford Springs for our wedding gift. We tried to use it in the fall, but they were booked for the weekend we wanted to go (mid-October so nice fall leaves and the Steelers bye weekend). We're thinking about doing that for the weekend of our anniversary, though it includes some time apart (golf for him, spa for me) so it's not my favorite choice, but it's better than nothing!

I just found out DH has a long weekend for our anniversary so we are going to try to get away! No definite plans yet, but I just found out his schedule so I will start planning. I can't believe how close we are!!!

We were going to go up to Maine to go camping and stay at a B&B. Those plans are on hold now though.

I think instead we may just go to a B&B for the night, possibly the one we stayed at on our wedding night. This way we could enjoy it a little more than last year since we were tired and had to leave early the next day to leave for our HM.

I am teaching summer school which falls during our anniversary. I am planning a weekend getaway Friday- Sunday (and maybe Monday if I can) to Cape Cod. We have never been there, and we are saving for a house so we can not really splurge on a anniversary vacation anyway. I think it would be perfect!

We might take a little trip, or maybe just stay a weekend in a hotel here in town. That way we could really relax and kind of forget about the stuff we have to do at home. We'll probably go out for a nice dinner and just walk around...we're pretty tame as far as what we like to do!

We actually have another wedding on our anniversary weekend! So, we will be celebrating by watching another couple get married. I think on Sunday night - our actual anniversary, we will get dinner at the place we had our reception at. It was a golf course/country club, and there is a really good restaurant attached. Then, maybe we try to start making babies...haha!
