I have made 2 friends since I've moved here.
One of them I'm not really friends with anymore. She's kind of flaky and I just got tired of inviting her to do things and her cancelling. I didn't really care b/c H and I got really tight with this other couple and we hang with them every weekend.
Well, she just got a job offer and is moving to Denver...in May!!

I am so sad. Living here isn't awful - really it's a nice city, but I am starting to really hate it. Every time a friend or my parents come into town I like it and then they go away and I hate it. I'm worried it's going to get worse now that I'm down to zero friends.

I was going to page you last night but I forgot. Your not really close to Nashville are you? The Ravens are scheduled to play the Titans (if there is a NFL season this year) in the beginning of September. H and I will most likely be coming down Thursday-Mon!! I am super excited b/c H constantly talks about how much fun Nashville is.

Our problem wasn't moving here though, it's more since the wedding/baby's birth. In college there was always someone to hang out with. Now it is so hard to find friends and maintain friendships. Seriously, since K's birth we've seen 2 of our friends, and the 2nd one only because I bugged him about seeing the baby. No one else has made an effort to even just meet K and visit with us.
I need to make some mom friends.

I can tell her to call you! She may be a bit rowdy for you though (she's a bit rowdy for me at times). She's a drinking, smoking, cursing, stay out till 4 am every Friday and Saturday kind of girl. She loves to have fun, but it's more like younger people fun even though she's married. I can only hang with her until midnight and then I go home and she goes on to round 2...and 3 and 4.

Me too! I actually have the most girlfriend now then I've ever had. Sadly its b/c I work with all of them. 3 of them I brought with me from my old hospital to my new one.
Oh goodness! She probably won't like me then. H and I joke that we are like old people. I go to bed early, get up early, don't go out drinking much anymore and am pretty boring. We always say we need to move to a retirement community.
