Anyone else reading Two Kisses For Maddy?
by Matt Logelin?
I've been pacing myself. It's so good that I want to keep reading it, but I want to make it last. As weird as that sounds. I picked it up last Saturday and I think I'm on Chapter 11.
It's heart wrenching. I can't even imagine what Matt went through right after Liz died and what he continues to go through.
I remember reading the obits and remember seeing Liz's in the Star Tribune and thinking "how sad". I wondered about her family after I saw it. A few months to a year later I then found his blog.
He's done amazing things since his Wife died. Maddy is lucky to have him as a Dad and Liz was lucky to be married to such a caring, loving man.

I bought it - and read it all - on Saturday.
It is different from his blog in the writing style aspect. It goes into a bit more details - all in one place, rather than scattered throughout blog posts - about those 27 hours. It's also a bit more reflective than the blog in that he's looking back on something, rather than experiencing it in the fresh, raw moment.
I loved the book! I bawled while reading most of it..

it is different. he talked about he & liz traveling the country before they were married, when they were married etc. he talked a little bit about when they were dating too.
it's like reading from a friend who went through this, that's how he writes.
as long as you don't mind the F word every now and then.
I read it, then passed it on to a coworker who read it, who then passed it on to another coworker, and then it was passed on to yet another coworker. All before it's actual release date lol.
Lots of tears, but some laughter too. I liked it.

I've been following his blog since Maddy was just a few months old and was very excited when he announced the book.
I am a pretty big cheapskate though so didn't buy it. I am number 4 on the list at the library though and according to their site they just got the books and will be handing em out soon :-)
Oh yeah, and "Two Kisses for Maddy" facebook page just announced the book made the print and ebook NYT bestseller list :-)
My SIL was reading it now that I think about it, maybe I should borrow it from her. I read his blog religiously when I had a desk job (shows you how busy I was
) and then went back to school and have no life.
I would like to read it since it sounds like his writing is different than his blog writing. It became hard to read haiku like writing all the time.
