I swear you guys, April is about to be ripped from my calendar. My uncle was in a bad wreck today, but thank goodness he (and everyone involved) is okay! He's a truck driver and was hit by a train (link here if you're interested).
They aren't too sure why he was on the track b/c he's generally super safe (has been driving for YEARS with a great track record). They're going to investigate of course, but regardless of who's fault he is I am just so thankful. Looking at the picture you'd definitely think it went way worse.
He's currently still in the hospital and not really all with it, but they said he'll be totally fine. He will have to have facial surgery (his cheekbone, jaw and eye socket are broken and they had to reattach his ear).
Crazy thing is someone at my dad's work said there was a wreck with a Textron truck and my dad said he just knew. He got in his truck and left - got to the scene and even the hospital before my aunt and the police called her.
Please keep my uncle in your thoughts for a safe surgery and speedy recovery. Thanks!!

Re: April Strikes Again - Thoughts for my uncle please!
OMG!!!! Thank God he was NOT killed!! I hope he recovers soon. Keep us posted!
ETA: Wow!! I really have to proof read my responses better!! Thanks Madame!!
Yes, he'll be fine financially. Fortunately my grandpa was pretty well off and he left a trust that went half to my uncle/half to my dad. I'm not sure how much it was since money isn't really discussed in my family, but he'll be fine.
Now, he may be in some trouble if they find him at fault, but he had insurance of course so hopefully it won't be that bad.
My dad is thinking maybe his truck stalled out or the brakes failed since he drive that route every single day and knows there's a train. It was basically the driveway leaving his work so it's not like he was driving along not paying attention. Who knows though.
Wow I saw a previous for it on the news yesterday but got busy and didn't finish watching it.
That is very scary. Glad he's safe and so are the others
