Baking question - fruit pie
I've never made a fruit pie before, not even plain ole apple. For whatever reason a recipe for an apple blackberry pie jumped out at me and I really want to try it out. How far in advance can I prep and bake the pie? Like if I need it for Friday night - should I make it Friday during the day or can I make it tomorrow (Thursday)? If I make it Thursday, do I refrigerate it? Should I just prep it Thurs and do the actual baking Friday afternoon? Help!
Re: Baking question - fruit pie
I think we're the only 2 on here at this time
At least it's not nearly midnight where you are. Ha. I have an excuse tho - I'm waiting for the bambino to wake up and eat again before I go to bed. And I'm slacking on editing and uploading pics. Oops!
Trust me, if I didn't have to wake up at 5:30 I'd probably be on here at midnight too. I'm a total night owl.
Dude, next week J starts the new job, right? He needs to wake up at 5:30 in order to get dressed, eat and be there for 7. Ouch - coming from a job where he didn't get up until 9 most days and wouldn't leave the house until 9:45 in order to be at work for 10. In order to get myself and the girls on a better schedule, I plan to get up with him and stay up (sure, I'll take a nap if I can when both kids are asleep) for the day. I am not looking forward to this. lol We are ALL (Gabby included) night owls.
That's really great of you. J gets up with me and makes my lunch then goes back to bed after I leave. He's awesome, and makes getting up that early a lot easier.
