So I moved to Rhode Island last summer, and haven't bothered to look for any doctors or dentists at all. I would love any recommendations! Primary care physician, dentist, OB/GYN... Thanks!!
Re: Dr Recommendations?
My PCP is Dr. John Solomon in Smithfield.
I see Dr. Eager at OBGYN and Assoc. in Providence.
My dentist is Dr. Lawrence Lopresti in Lincoln
Welcome to RI!
My GYN (also does OB) is actually in MA: Dr. Ralph Philosophe in Foxboro; he delivers @ Sturdy in Attleboro.
Dentist: Dr. Andrea Barone (Italian guy) in Barrington.
I'm in the midst of switching PCPs.
PCP - Dr. Marisa VanPoznak in Providence
OB/GYN - Dr. Michelle Gange at Broadway OB/GYN
Dentist - Mark Pallaschi in East Greenwich
I'm not in MA now, but...
PCP: My sister, mother, stepfather, grandmother and grandfather all see Dr. Khabbaz on Diamond Hill Rd in Cumberland.
Dentist: I grew up going to, and my mother and sister still see, Drs. Picard on Hamlet Ave in Woonsocket. They're father and son, and we've seen both over the years. No complaints. They're the dentists that I always compare my dentists to!
Welcome to Rhode Island, and to our board!
whaaat?? omg that sucks!! i had no clue. Now I need to find someone new
PCP - Dr Jane Wen - Pawtucket
OBGYN - My Dr. just left so I am now seeing Kiersten Crawford, Midwife at Center for OBGYN in Providence
Dentist - Gerard Belheumer - Pawtucket
Pediatrician - Dr. Townsend at Pediatric Associates in Riverside East Providence
I'm seeing Keirsten Crawford for the first time today for my 20 week appointment! I usually see Dr. Wiggins at Center for OB/GYN, and I love her, but she was all booked this week, and I really wanted to stay on track and actually have my 20w appointment at 20 w, so I'm seeing Keirsten instead. I'm also curious about the difference between prenatal appointments with a midwife v. doctor.
I know Dr. Belheumer's daughter, I think.
I don't love my PCP, so I'm not going to recommend her.
My dentist is Dr. Hogberg on Rolfe Street in Cranston. I really like him.
Sugar & Spice
Don't love my PCP, and the dentists I've seen here recently I won't go back to...
but I love Dr. Marilyn Powers at Caring for Women in Warwick (near Kent Co Hospital) for OBGYN.
I highly recommend my ob/gyn and dentist. (Don't have a PCP.)
OB/Gyn: Dr. David Carcieri (private practice on Mineral Spring in N. Providence, 401-353-0757). Have gone to him for about 5 years. He's great, very friendly, approachable and able to allay first-time mom (and dad) fears during pregnancy (in case that's a consideration for you).
Dentist: Dr. Roger Carlsten (on Lloyd Ave, on East Side of Providence - http://www.advanceddentalcare.com/) I've gone there for about 10 years - great staff, and he's excellent - has done fillings and gum grafting for me. He only does white fillings in his office (no metal), just in case your insurance doesn't cover those entirely.
I also go to Center for OB/GYN and see Dr. Connolly.
Thanks guys!!
