Recommend your shampoo and conditioner!
I'm looking for a mid range shampoo conditioner.
I used to use John Freida from Target and now I'm using Bumble and Bumble. But alas, spending $50 a month on shampoo and conditioner is just too much.
So I'm looking for something somewhere in the middle. I've got thick normal (not oily, not dry) straight hair.

Shampoo: Rusk Sensories Brilliance (it is good for colored hair) or the Calm. I also use their Calm conditioner.
eta: I think it is under $10 a bottle and you don't need a lot of product; it is concentrated, so the more water you add, the more lather you get. I have seen it at my salon, drug stores, Wegman's. AND, you can even find them at TJ Maxx--the HUGE bottles are only $7.99 there.
I swear my hair gets bored with shampoo/conditioner so I switch it up constantly.
I'll start using something and love it, then in a few weeks it doesn't work as well. So I just see what's on sale at Target in the salon care aisle (they often have good stuff on clearance).
The one I always go back to (but it is pricey) is Fredric Fekkai

I'm on the hunt for new S&C too. My favorite is Redken but I feel guilty buying it because it's not cheap. I've tried the sulfate free Loreal and my hair felt horrible after I used it. It was really dry and matted together.
I've since tried Tresemme, the new Suave professional stuff and Dove and haven't had luck with any of them. I'm about to break and go back to Redken.
I've also been using the L'Oreal sulfate free. For being an affordable sulfate free, it's been amazing.
I also use the Organix line for another affordable sulfate free option.
I have thick, curly hair and use Tres Semme (for curly hair, but they have several varieties). It is also the brand my hairdresser uses when he does heads at home.
I was a faithful Pantene user for probably a decade, and then they switched all the formulas up and now I hate it.
