anyone going to the DMB caravan show??

I know there are a few other dave fans around here. I'm sitting here drooling over the DMB caravan tour line up, this is my dream come true for a concert. I want SOOO badly to go to the one in Chicago, but I can't get the time off work that weekend (would need to take friday & monday off). Atlantic City dates might work, but if i'm going to fly somewhere for it I think I'd rather go west.

They are announcing the august & september shows today. It's almost guaranteed that the sept show will be at the Gorge over labor day weekend. I just so happen to have that weekend off, my sister lives 2hrs from the Gorge and it's one of my places that I've always wanted to see him.

DH tells me if it's there that i should go because I'll regret it if I don't. It would NOT be a cheap trip (by the time i get airfare, buy a camp site, tickets, etc...) but I'm seriously considering it.... crazy???

we have known for a long time that it was going to be in chicago and definitely had it in the plans. it's going to be awesome.

we were disappointed with the announcement of the location though. i'm not sure what we are going to do now. We would hit AC instead but it's sooner and gives me less time to save up the money. i think i will regret not going but i'm just not sure if i can fit it in the budget.
if your husband is giving you the go ahead take it!

I'm so jealous! I would love to go, but sadly with me pregnant and due in July it is not in the cards this year.

Sadly, 2 out of the last 3 years, I have had to sell my DMB tickets. Crying Somehow H always talk me into selling them.

that's awesome that you are going. i have read mixed feelings about the location in chicago, but i'm sure it will be cool, i'm jealous that your going.

i wish i would have known about it earlier. because i work with a bunch of PTO hogs, we have to submit our entire years worth of PTO in january, sucks. I would have gone to chicago in a heart beat, no questions because i could have drove there. AC sounds cool, but i couldn't get there until late friday so i'd miss that night. the Gorge is just amazing... but it would be just so expensive, decisions.

If you can go...GO!!!!!!!!! I'm totally jealous and a sad that we will not be seeing Dave at all this year. So I'm hoping that someone goes and has lots of FB updates and pictures

I seriously cried a little when I saw the Chicago line up and cant go.

i'm actually not sure if we are going to go now. Getting to the gorge will be pricey, but i think there are a lot of hidden costs to chicago. Since it's not actually IN chicago transportation and overpriced food is something i don't think most people are thinking about. i'm very disappointed with the location.

i wonder where the august one is going to be... i'm thinking somewhere in the midwest-west coast.

Red rocks would be cool.

there are 3 places I've said that I must see dave at -- Gorge, Red Rocks & VA beach.

I didn't realize there were other DMB fans on here!!! I'm have a (somewhat unhealthy) obsession with the band. I'm dying a little that I cannot go to any of these festivals this summer. For my concert partners--my best friend and oldest sister--the concerts are out of the question (sister will be 7 mo. pregnant and best friend got laid off). The three of us have gone to shows together for almost 10 years now! Hopefully next year's a good tour!

Hi, my name is alisha & i also have an unhealthy obsession w/dave.

If I don't make it to a show this year, it will be the first time i haven't seen him since 1997. that's so crazy!! next years shows will be awesome.

I think for me, it'll be since 1999! Chances are (God willing) I'll be KU next summer too! Ugh! I feel like I somehow need to suck it up and go to Chicago...

You can totally drive to AC. I went to law school in NJ and drove between NJ & MI all the time. It's nbd, really. There's also an airport in AC and one in philly, check both if you want to fly, heck, check Newark too, it's not that far.
