Anyone here hosting Easter?

I am!! First time. Currently trying to find a recipe for a good dessert (one with chocolate) and one for lamb :)

Re: Anyone here hosting Easter?

  • I am hosting PEASTER which is a lovely cultural montage of Passover and Easter. Can't help you with dessert because I am making a flourless chocolate/almond/orange something or other, and no need to go flourless for Easter.

We are making this lamb recipe:

except instead of the vegetable garland we'll have asparagus and morels w/ tarragon. YUM.

Thanks! That looks tasty! Could be a good contender for our dinner :)

  • OOOOH I have a great chocolate cake recipe! Go to foodnetwork.com and search for Beatty's chocolate cake, by Ina Garten. It is amazing! I use a reviewers frosting (no fail chocolate frosting) and it was super easy.

What cut of lamb are you using? DH and I made some yummy lamb chops with herb crust for valentines day I could get the link for too.

Lamb Chops are the plan if you find that link I would love it! :)

  • I sent it to you on FB as a message because I can't use paste here for some reason on my phone. I would go easy on the salt, even if you love salt like me, because the first time we made it exact and it was a little much for one rack.

  • No - my mom always hosts it since she's got the CASA GRANDE!  Much more room in her house for her, Mike & me (and sometimes Amanda), my sister & BIL, BIL's parents and my cousins.

But we are hosting a Good Friday egg-dyeing party at our house tomorrow after dinner.  My mom, sister & BIL are coming over, we'll have Amanda and I also invited my cousins.  I thought about making some kind of Easter cupcakes but just didn't have the time.

  • Good luck!!!  It's so exciting hosting a holiday in your new home :)

I have no recipes for you...but just wanted to wish you luck!
