Re: Girly vs Tomboy
i said 50/50 but its probably more like 70/30.
i get my hair and nails done, i own tons of jewelry and accessorize every outfit. i wear makeup every day. i wear sneakers maybe once a month aside from when im on the treadmill. i enjoy cooking and baking more than pretty much anything.
but i hunt and fish with my dad and andy. i get dirty all the time at work digging in the mud. i play with bats. i know how to change my oil and tires.

Stand up for something you believe in.

I said a 50/50 mix.
I have to wear business casual to work, so I have my few pairs of heels, skirt (rare), nice tops and jewlery. I only do my makeup when going out or special occassions. I like to get my nails done, go shopping, scrapbook, and do other cute crafty things.
Other than that, I am always in jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes or flip flops. Hair is either a pony tail or just blown dry. I enjoy cars, sports and video games. I take shots with the best of them, burp and talk worse than a sailor.
I like to think that I am a good mix.
I picked girly too.
I like to be edgier instead of the stereotypical pink and frills. But I like looking feminine and getting dolled up. Getting dolled up though can be in black skinnies and a rocker type shirt.
I love nails and makeup and doing my hair. I also like smart romantic movies or classic romantic movies over typical rom-coms. I prefer more drama and killing movies like Inglourious Basterds, Kill Bill, Shawshank Redemption. Anwar has been a fan of that since day one. haha.
I like sports, and don't mind getting dirty. I like camping, hiking, outdoor things.
So, I guess style wise I'm more girly, but life wise I'm a blend.

I have my moments when I tend to be more girly: whenever I feel good about my body, I tend to dress up more.
In general, I'm a jeans and shorts type. The tops are where I get more or less dressy, either t-shirts and a polo, or a nice blouse and cardigan. I don't like wearing skirts or dresses to work, so if I were to dress up for work it would be in a nice pair of dress pants.
I used to love wearing heels but since Patrick isn't much taller than me, I opt for flats or really low heels. But, I do love wearing heels!
As for makeup, I used to wear makeup every day but once I started working, I don't anymore. Less than 5% of the people I work with wear makeup, so I felt a little out of place if I do wear makeup. Now that I don't anymore, people notice when I do and make comments which I hate. They're nice comments and all but I like to fly under the radar.
I'm an engineer and am good at math and science, stereotypical boy stuff. I went to a college that had a 70:30 ratio of males to females. My workplace pretty much has the same ratio. I love video games and anime/manga. I'm not into sports though, but my interests and jobs are pretty "boy" stuff.
I'm pretty girly, even though I wear pretty minimal makeup. I love shoes and clothes and getting dressed up, and I like to keep my nails neat and my hair highlighted. A zit can ruin my whole day. I hate almost all beer and scream at even the tiniest spider. I adore cats. I don't care much about cars and I suck at home improvement projects if it involves drilling/constructing.
I'm only boyish in that I can't sew for sh!t and Iove college football (but I know a lot of girly girls who do.) I also love big dogs (seems like many girls prefer little ones -- even though I don't think I can handle one bigger than my 35 lb lab mix.)
Oh, I HATE to sweat except if I'm running. In that case, I LOVE sweating. It's a little weird. I love a good, pouring sweat on a long run.
I hate most chick flicks but I loved the Notebook.
I am probably 60% tomboy, % 40 girly.
When I was a kid, I was a total tomboy. My neigbohrhood was all boys, I had a brother and all boy cousins my age. I played boy's lacrosse until my mom made me stop. I got a little more girly in junior high and after. As I said in the earlier post, I am not good at hair/nails. etc. It is not that I have no interest. I love getting pampered if someone else can do it for me.
I do like girly tops and getting dressed up now and then, but don't like pink. I do like great skincare and hair care products.
I love chick flicks and chick lit. I love gossip site and magazines.
I tend to be nurturing. I love to cook and am starting to like to bake, but my husband is probably better than me. It is his job after all.
I love playing sports and doing adventurous things like hiking, rock-climbing, but am not that into watching them unless it is a Red Sox game.
