I am wondering how the law would even hold up since abortion is legal in the US.
Last week, we got in the news because Fallin turned down 50M to build the infrastructure around a health insurance exchange program (this is not government run health care, but a marketplace for people who don't have employer-based insurance). Ugh, OK is looking like the crazy tea-party state.
Re: Abortion
I'm on the fence about this. For me abortion is not an option, but I'm not for taking those options away from people who want them. This is an opinion that I generally keep to myself since this is such a hot topic with people within my life. Morally I think abortion is wrong, but who am I to judge if someone thinks it is best for them if they choose this option.
Sidenote- My brother is a tea partier and he says some of the most absurd things. I try not to listen to his rantings because I feel like my head is going to explode.
I think it's fvkcing hilarious that the same people who say government should have no place in healthcare passed a law yesterday regarding what a insurance company can and cannot cover.
I'm pissed.
It won't hold. We pass something, we spend $500k fighting the challenge against it, we lose the challenge, the law is struck down.
Rinse and repeat.
I agree with Critti, this is a law so invasive even my uterus feels it.
In saying that, it won't hold. I find it odd that Fallin is currently trumping as the "morality" police yet her private life holds up to not even the dimmest light.
Yep. *sigh* I haven't been able to figure out how this approach jives with supposed fiscal conservatism.
Can I "like" this thread?
Wait, this isn't facebook?
Aren't we running out of ridiculous restrictions to add to abortion here in OK?
Ugh. House of Republicans want to spend $500K to defend discrimination against gays.
