I've always done something for secretary's day even though I'm not the boss and I guess not technically obligated. They just do so much and I couldn't properly do my job without 'em. This year, with the cat, the Jeep, and a party on May 7, plus mother's day and my sister's bday coming, a gift for each (there are 6... plus one partner's wife is the p/t office manager) is a little nuts. And I don't like to give really cheap gifts. So I was thinking a card for each and I'll bake a cake for them, using my newly learned fondant skills. That's not lame, right? And do I get a card for the office manager/partner's wife? I almost feel like it'd be wrong to lump her in with staff.
Re: Secretary's Day
I don't know about the office manager...
I think the secretaries will really appreciate a specially-made-with-love cake.
