a little better today.

I just talked to my sister & she said my Uncle is doing a little better today.

I was on the phone w/ her when she went into his room and she asked him how he was and he said he was okay. ...then she asked him if he was ready to go, and he kind of just rambled off something.

His behaviour is so bizarre and sad.

I think he's getting transferred to ORMC... no thanks to the Drs at South Lake hospital (which is where he is at now. If you are ever in Clermont and need a hospita..don't go there.)

My cousin called her Dr. and he recommended someone and talked to the Dr. that is going to accept him.

What is really sad is that not everyone has the connections that we have. Some families just don't know what to do, or what to ask, or who to talk to. It's sickening.

I say connections bc my sister knows the admin supervisor at SL (bc she worked there).. My step mom has a sh*tload of connections in ORL since she worked there for 10+ yrs.

Thanks for all your thoughts & prayers. It's no where near over unfortunately.

the Dr. I work for had a patient w/ the same encepha...whatever. She was out of it for 2-3 months and then she just came out if. She started to become more coherent. Id on't know the ins & outs of her case, but I really hope the same thing happens w/ my Uncle.

Re: a little better today.

  • I'm very happy that you are looking at a transfer to ORMC - they are a great hospital.  More T & P to your uncle that the enchephal...just goes away and he comes back.

    ((hugs))

    That's promising.

I'll be thinking of you & your family.  I hope your uncle has a speedy recovery, now that he'll be at a better hospital.

  • I am hoping he will get transferred to ORMC, as they have more resources available than anything out in Clermont.  Sorry to hear about your uncle, what a scary situation for everyone involved.  I am hoping he pulls through like your doctor's patient.
