Do you chew on ice, like from a cup of pop/water at a restaurant?

Re: Ice Chewing?
I heard somewhere that chewing ice is a release for sexual tension. Not sure the validity
And yes- I chew ice

Me too. (Either? Whichever.) Plus, chewing ice is bad for your teeth, and my teeth are sensitive enough already.
Then I realized you mean soda
I don't, but DH does and it bugs me. Sometimes he'll suck on an ice cube from a glass we are sharing, then spit it back in. Then I can't drink from that glass anymore.
And his reasoning is that we kiss, so saliva shouldn't bother me. Well, I don't exactly want to drink it!
/rant.
Gross. I'm with you on that!
I was at lunch with a friend and her 14 month old son a week or two ago, and she was sharing an ice cream cone with her son. I said I don't know if I'm ready to share things like that with Carter, or deal with all of the baby drool. She said I'd get there, but then I asked if she would share an ice cream cone with her husband, and she said yes.
So I think I'm doomed. I would never lick an ice cream cone after Chris licked it, even though I do kiss him and all. And he doesn't eat things off of the floor like Carter will.

I detest ice chewers! It makes me teeth hurt and gives me goosebumps to see other people doing it. DH's whole family (including DH) does it. H does it, looks at me and laughs then tells his mom to start too.

Ice chewing doesn't bother me that much, but I would never do it out for many reasons.
Eating after others, I can handle doing it with Mike no problem. I'm more than sure I'll share with my babies. I don't know why, but nothing about that bothers me. However, the only other person I'd share with is my bro. Not my parents, not my friends.. I have no idea why.
I am an ice chewer, I also always drink out of a straw at a restaurant but I will resort to eating the ice if I am out of drink and it hasn't been refilled or we are getting ready to leave.
I am also a sharer, I have no germphobias whatsoever, ok, I wouldn't share with a complete stranger but that is about it.
See, that doesn't even bother me.
But it's funny you mention that....there is an ice cream shop that we love, and he always wants to split a sundae. Well, I don't want to share because I love it so much that I want it all to myself LOL! Others think I don't share because of your reasoning.... you girls can know my secret hahaha!
See, I will eat and drink after Chris. It's just the licking of an ice cream cone that really grosses me out. I won't eat or drink after anyone else, though, really.
Remember that thing about my mom and the kitchen sink? Well, she also will not eat or drink after anyone (including my dad or her kids) so I'm sure this is where I get my issues from (again - ha! it's a good thing I love my mom so much!).
Though now that I think of it, I used to share gum with my friends in middle school. How totally disgusting is that???

Actually... crunching on ice is a sign of low iron (anemia). I used to eat ice... I could empty the ice maker on a daily basis (sometimes, it couldn't keep up with me!) and my teeth didn't hurt one bit. I used to get a fountain drink cup of just ice if I wasn't at home.
But I recently (like right before the wedding) started taking pre-natals and an extra iron supplement and I don't eat ice anymore! I don't even crave it.
This is when I do it most often.
I don't chew ice at restaurants but I do at home sometimes...however, it has to have been sitting in a drink for a while and be somewhat 'soft'.
As for the food sharing thing, Jason and I share a lot when we eat and drink, it doesn't bother me at all. He's about the only one I'd share with at this point though. When my little brother was a baby/toddler, I used to share with him a lot. He used to love when I got him a gumball (I was a bad babysitter lol) but they were too hard for him to chew right away, so he used to have me pre-chew them a bit, then he'd eat them... lol how gross.
