We're relocating to the Boston area and we have been house hunting the last couple of weekends. I noticed some small blue/purple flowers that seem to be a popular plant around people's front yards and wanted to know if anyone knew what I was talking about. Wish I could find a picture but I'm still working on that...

Re: Any MA gardeners?
I'm not far from MA. What shape are they? Do you think they were planted or wild (i.e. in flower beds or throughout the lawn)?
Google johnny jump ups. Were they like this?
Def not phlox, as we have some here. Def not johnny jump ups--those look like pansies. It was more blue, and had sort of an aster appearance. And they may have been planted but for all I know could just pop up in people's yards.
I'll keep trying to find a pic.
