How the nest changed my life.
There are a couple of things that i have learned or picked up from you girls that i couldn't imagine not having in my life.
What is something that you got from the nest or knot changed your life?
(yes, i realize "changed your life" is dramatic. i like it. carry on).

During a horrible time when 2 of my BFF's for 12+ years and I had a falling out I gained 5 bffs that I met on the nest. That was back in 2008/9 and I'm extremely grateful for meeting them.
ETA: On a lighter side, Primer Potion. It has changed my life forever.

UD Primer Potion. Seriously, this one was a life changer. i won't go a day without it now. Never did i think a product could be so awesome and actually do what it says it's going to.
This recipe - although i think molly is out of her mind and should be punished for not using the bacon on it.
I've already posted this before oh well.
At an Eastern Market GTG I learned from a nestie about a genetic test for a blood disorder that I could have (I had researched this for many years before finally giving up) and my Dr never ever told me about it. This led me to finding a new Dr (with recs from the nest who I LOVE). I now take preventive measures to avoid any issues (during pregnancy) from the disorder I inherited from my mother.
I have to say I also value many of the recs I have gotten here over ones I find online and even from friends and family.
ETA: so right with the primer potion!!!!!! I use to use some garbage from L'Oreal.

i can't thing of one thing in particular but you ladies have gotten me through many a boring day at work! i would have lost my mind long ago!

This! I'm intrigued!
It's a primer for your eyelids so your eyeshadow doesn't crease. i couldn't get half way through the day before without my eyeshadow melting away and could never wear anything shimmery before. The first time i used it was a weekend we went out and i got totally hammered and didn't wash my face before bed. I was amazed when i woke up the next morning and my eyeshadow looked as good as when i left the night before.

UD Primer Potion...best thing ever.
Skincare. I stopped washing my face 2x a day and use Aveeno face wash. It has made a huge impact on my skin.

For the record, UD's Primer Potion is second to Too Faced's Shadow Insurance, if for one reason only: It comes in a tube. I've used both and they work exactly the same.

I made IRL friends I, otherwise, never would have met.
My cooking and housecleaning improved because I wanted to have blogs. I highly doubt I ever would have a food blog if it wasn't all the rage when us 08ers got married.

Is it sad, but I think my life would be completely different without these boards. The majority of my close friends are people I met from this board or else during my knot days. I've gotten so much information too. Planning my wedding- many vendors and ideas were things I got off the knot. Having a baby- I got doctor recommendations from the boards and learned all I needed to know about pregnancy from the bump. Newborn pictures- I got a bunch of recommendations from here. It's like google- only better!
did you know that this stuff comes in two other 'shades?' I walked into Sephora and told the girl I needed Primer Potion and she asked me what color. I just stared blankly at her.

YEEES! That's awesome, I just hated that damn wand thing. Terrible design.
My actual answer is that I met some IRL friends that have taken Michigan from a cold, lonely, and desolate place to one that I actually enjoy living because of their friendships.
