Dr. Eager Peeps

I am pretty sure there are a few of you here....

I just found out that she is dropping her OB (thanks gapgirl for the heads up)-what are you planning to do? Are you staying with the practice?

I was seeing Dr. Bert and Dr. Eager throughout my pregnancy, but I decided to just stick with Eager since I liked her better. Now I'm not sure what to do. I didn't love the big practice. I felt like I was shuffled around a lot, but I want to be able to deliver at W & I for my next baby.

This is so annoying. I really liked her.

  • Like you, I really liked her.  I have not had any issues other than waiting forever for an appointment with the drs.  I went to the drs. with C (Dr. Bert delivered her) and then with R I saw all the midwives which I LOVED.  Knowing if I have a 3rd, and need another c/s that Eager will not deliver that baby either, I think I want to switch practices and that is why I was looking into Dr. Beitle.  He is a one man group and last year had about 200 pregnant ladies and delivered 189 of them!  That is pretty good in my eyes.

    But I am not 100% sure I want a male ob/gyn

  • I had no idea what you were talking about.  The subject line makes it sound like a perverted doctor of sorts!!

  • I used to see Dr. Eger for years.  I loved her.  I do think that she screwed up my cerclage though that ultimately leaded to me losing my baby at almost 19 wks.

If you can still see her as a gyn, why not just stay there.  All it means is that she will no longer be working on pregnancy related matters.  You ultimately have to see all the drs in the practice when pg anyway.

  • Nicole, I would stay but I am not 100% I am done with kids yet and since I know my 3rd will be a scheduled c/s at 38 weeks I only have to see that one dr the whole time.

  • I'd rather have the same person be my ob and gyn....and i didn't love the big practice, so i think i'll look around for another doctor.

  • and...Nicole, that is horrible! I'm not sure I'd want her touching me knowing that you think she messed up!

  • I really, really like Broadway.  There is more than one dr but not so much that you feel shuffled around. The office staff is great too!
