Nutella Recipes?

So, I had Nutella the first time in Paris on a crepe....  it was amazing but I have no idea what else I can use it on or with?  Any ideas?

Re: Nutella Recipes?

  • Giada is OBSESSED with Nutella, and uses it all the time in recipes. That would be where I would start. I have no other suggestions, because I am not a fan of the Nutella. I will ask my brother though, I think he loves it a lot!

  • Here are more recipes than you probably ever wanted: http://www.nutelladay.com/nutella-recipes/ . Sorry, I just googled, I haven't tried any of these, but they sound fabulous!

  • not really a recipe, but nutella and PB is yummy.  We've made nutella, PB with banana slices for John and he gobbles it up.

  • I'm not a fan of it but wanted to say that a friend of mine from hs now lives right outside of Paris (on a vineyard...what a life!) and has said that Nutella here tastes different from Nutella that was made in France.

  • Yes, the Nutella here DOES taste different, unless you get some from a shop that imports it from the EU.

You can use it to dip fruit into. It's especially good with oranges...

  • I am dying to try somethign similar to this:

I usually just have my nutella on bread with a banana.  I have put it in my oatmeal as well if I want something sweeter than peanut butter.

  • We put it in ebelskivers, on pancakes or dip fruit in it. I love to spread it on Ritz crackers for a quick snack too.
  • I grew up on Nutella in Germany. The one here tastes the same to me.

I don't really cook with it, I just love to spread it on toast or rolls or croissants

  • An easy and quick one is to take a thawed pie crust, roll it out just a bit, spread it with Nutella and roll up into a long tube.  Slice pinwheel "cookies", bake per pie crust directions (but watch closely - you don't want them overbaked), sprinkle with some sugar, and allow to cool to room temp before eating.  It's delicious.  PB + Nutella works in the same fashion.
  • Pretzel Rods dipped in nutella is really good :)
