Ugh. When you drive 120 miles a day to/from work like I do, this whole gas prices situation really has an effect on your way of life. Gas here in Central IL just his $3.99 this afternoon, a 20 cent jump from the morning. What are gas prices like where you ladies live?
Re: Gas Prices...
Blog
last Friday I was still able to get it at $3.69... up to around 3.83 in Bergen County, NJ... I live in NY but gas prices in our town are above $4.15 so a two mile drive to NJ actually makes a huge difference
My Blog
The gas station I drove past this morning said 4.39. Luckily I only drive about 3 miles round trip and can get away with filling my gas tank every 2 or 3 weeks.
ETA: This is in Chicago. It is always about 20 cents cheaper outside of the city.
My light just came on while I was out this morning, but I probably won't fill up until Monday. DH and I are lucky that we live so close to everything. I'm 1 mile from school and DH is 10 miles from work.
Do the creep.
Lowest is approx. $3.50. I don't even look at the gas prices anymore lol.
Yesterday when I was filling up I saw a woman ask if she could get $10 of gas & pay for it the next day when she got paid -- they actually said yes. I felt bad for the woman though.
Oh my goodness. Something needs to be done about this. Any hope of continuing the apparent recovery our country has seen is going down the tubes fast. I'm really hoping that I can get this other teaching job I'm applying for because I'd be able to bike to work in nice weather. I'm spending about $80-90 in gas a week right now! In August, when I first started my current job, it was about $55-60 a week. Ugh.
