This topic will never get old and I always like finding new places to go. What are your fave margaritas in town, and where do you go to get them?
I'll start. Last week I went to El Chile Cafe Y Cantina on Manor Road and had a Chilango Margarita. It's got a slight orange flavor and it has cayenne pepper in it, just enough to give it a kick. And wow, it was delicious. I've been craving that margarita now all week! Their prickly pear one wasn't bad either, and if anything else, it was pretty to look at.
Re: Let's Talk Margaritas.
My favorite is sort of a margarita. I love the Mexican Martinis at Trudy's. To me, margaritas are often too sweet and these aren't as sweet to me.
Mmm, love me some beer ritas! I haven't made them in forever though, maybe next weekend!
Ahhhh, I love me some margs!! For regular frozen my fave is Matt's El Ranch. For flavored frozen my fave is Vivo's Prickly Pear (going tonight!!!). For Mex. Martini my fave is Trudy's, of course. Runners up include Jardine Corona, Maudie's, and Manuel's.
I love the Chilango Margarita!
Sadly, it's been so freaking long since I've had a margarita that I can't contribute anything else to this discussion.
Ooh, I almost forgot about Guero's! I can't stand the margarita mix, either. It's so sour and gross.
