My boss entertains me!

You guys know how much I love this lady - this is an email I just got from her. (Backstory - her last office manager would play Farmville while at work and she finally had to request that she stop so that the agents wouldn't see she was on Facebook all day and not doing her stuff.)

I emailed her that I had a million things on my plate today and would likely be skipping one of the reports that she doesn't really need. This is her reply (sarcasm is our way of communicating):

No problem, slacker. Don't be playing any games on Facebook today.

Online shopping is allowed. Got to keep up our image.

  • ...and yes I am really busy, but I have CDs with house pics burning and they're taking over my computer so I'm taking a break while they burn!

  • gotta love a boss with a good sense of humor!!!
  • That's funny! Our "office manager" is on facebook about 6 of the 7 hours a day she "works". It drives me absolutely insane. She even comes out to tell me about fb updates. I don't care! And I highly doubt we are paying you $20/hr to be on fb. I better stop now because I could go on for DAYS about her.

  • Lol nice! I play word feud with my manager all the time. One time I played a word while I was at work and he sent me a message "shouldn't you be seeing patients?" To which I replied "Shouldnt you be sleeping?" Because he was working night shift that night. Lol

  • My supervisor encourages me to play Words with Friends with her while at work. I'll be actually working and she'll be like "omg I played 2 hours ago (while at work), whats taking you so long?"

She'll call other people out for using the computer for non-work related stuff in front of the whole office. But with me she's just like "Hey are you busy?" knowing I'm messing around. Of course I always jump up and do what she asks me, so maybe that's it.
