IT'S A BOY!! (now with details)

Now that I have more than a couple of minutes...

Everything looked great on the u/s. Nate's u/s was done by a Dr, and he talked us through the whole thing. This was done by a tech, so she didn't talk during the measuring part. Afterward, a Dr looked over the pics of the u/s so that we'd know right away how it looked.

She spent a long time getting the measurements. I could kind of see the screen, at an angle. I could see enough to tell that most of his measurements were 19 weeks and 2-4 days, except for his head, which measured 20 weeks. (I'm 18 weeks now.) Nate was about the same. I caught a few short between the legs shots while she was measuring, and saw the "turtle" shape (in u/s boy stuff looks likes a turtle to me), but it was so fast I was afraid that I didn't see it right, so I didn't say anything. But by then I was really hoping for a boy, even though I hadn't really made up my mind what I thought I wanted before today. She didn't talk while she was doing this, except to get me to change positions if she needed him to move and to tell us the heartrate was 144.

Once all the measurements were done, she turned the screen toward me and showed us all the limbs and major organs. He had both arms up with his hands sort of behind his head. It was cute. :) By the time we got down to his legs and feet, he had his legs closed so she jiggled him around, and I rolled onto my side, and eventually we saw for sure that it is a he!

Rodgers is kind of opening up to name discussions now. Some ideas we're playing with are Andrew and Timothy.

ETA: name ideas are on the DL. Rod wants to keep it a secret.
