MIL is in the hospital
I wasn't around much yesterday b/c H and I were out running around quite a bit. We got a call yesterday morning that my MIL drove herself to my hospital with severe chest pain. So we came up here yesterday morning to check on her. As we are walking into the ER H says "This is the last place I want to spend my day off". I shot him a look and said "And you think I want to be here?? This will be my 4th consecutive day here and I work tomorrow!!". Stupid boys!
Her EKG, and labs are normal. Her blood pressure was through the roof though which is unusual for her. They gave her a couple of nitros and morphine and it helped the pain go away. They kept her overnight for observations and to do a stress test this am. I went up stairs to see her this AM while the ER was quite. She was having the pain in her arm again, but saying that she thinks its not heart related at all but a disk in her neck. I sat up there for a while and ate my breakfast, which was a little mean b/c she isnt allowed to eat LOL. She is going for her stree test in a little while. They should have the results between 1-4pm. She is annoyed b/c she was told she was leaving this morning. HAHAHHA I knew that wasn't true last night.
Nures/PA/Doctors/Resp make the worse patients!! She is giving her nurses a run for their money. She is just convinced that its not heart related and she will be out of here in no time back to preparing for the big easter dinner she is hosting!!! I hope she is right!

She is a nurse practioner in womens health (OB/GYN).
