Doing anything green today?

Re: Happy Earth Day
I'm not really one to be green, I waste a lot with washing bottles, diapers, etc. I do reuse my grocery bags for lunch.
Funny note - some random CW must be trying to be green today, when I went to the bathroom, someone must have wanted to share a flush, cause they didn't do it. If that's going green, I'll pass
OMG. Ew.
Do that at home not at WORK!
Some things I will do today and/or most days:
Buying organic produce and organic dairy, eggs, and meat (when possible).
Using my reuseable shopping bags.
Taking a short shower.
Using green cleaning products (except for my toilet wand disposables...can't give that up. I refuse to have a toilet brush chillin in my bathroom.)
Eating vegetarian today.
And yes..if it's yellow let it mellow, but if it's brown flush it down. (only at home) I grew up in CA during a really bad/long drought, so this is just habit for me. Not to mention we have 50 year old toilets that are seriously 12 gal per flush.
Using tupperware to pack DH's/DDs lunch instead of baggies.
Using the same water glass all day instead of washing it every time.
Doing FULL loads of laundry on cold and hang drying.
Of course, recycling.
Making my daughter use scratch paper (ie, the back of the worksheet she brought home from school) to do her drawing projects.
Turning off lights/appliances when I leave the room.
Combining errands into as few trips as possible (today and tomorrow).
Using cloth napkins at home instead of paper ones. Trying to use less paper towels and use kitchen towels instead.
Researching an AFFORDABLE, fuel efficient car for a family of five, with two rear facing car seats. Any suggestions? (I prefer no third row, just cramming kids in the back seat.)
I'm with you on this one. I haven't found one that exists just yet.
I didn't drive to work today!
I'm also watching the earth day price is right episode right now....
