F/U..friend's mom...sad news

DH's friend's mom passed away today. She had had a massive stroke with a clot on Tuesday and had been on a vent. As I said in my last thread about this, I just saw her on Saturday and we had a great talk!! She was so excited about her new (first) grandchild who is due May 31st. Our friend is devastated and so is his father. Please send thoughts, prayers, vibes, etc to our friend and his family. I lost my dad and know how hard that is, but losing my mom would be devastating. Thanks for the support. Again, we have to enjoy each and every moment everyday!!! DH told his friend about how I had seen her at the baby shower and enjoyed talking to her and his friend said his mom was really happy for DH that he had found me.

i am so sorry. i didnt lose my dad as suddenly as your DH's friend lost his mom, but i sure know the pain.

Sorry to hear that. It's definitely not easy- and 7 months later I am still in disbelief more than I think I should be. But family & friends help tons!!! And so does remembering everything.

Thank you everyone. I lost my dad before meeting DH and most of DH's and my friends parents' are all still alive. My dad died suddenly of a heart attack so I can relate to how our friend is feeling somewhat. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I hope I can go to the memorial service, but I am starting weeks of IEP meetings and they don't like me to miss those, but if I take a personal day, they can't ask or do anything.
